Tiresomely Fascinating Technology
It's natural to feel confused when new technology emerges and begins to spread. But no matter how hard you try to slow it down, it's hard to stop the passage of time. Looking back on my life, there have been many times when I wished nothing would change. Artificial intelligence is tiresomely fascinating. I wrote this poem and composed the song, but it's an artificial intelligence singing it. I wonder how people felt when rice cookers were invented? They're convenient tools, but I'm sure there were many people who preferred to cook rice in a pot. What about before matchsticks were invented? I'm sure there were people who wanted to start a fire with flint or a kindling tool to cook rice. But now, with the passage of time, almost everyone cooks rice in a rice cooker or warms it up in the microwave and eats it whenever they want. So, would it be different, or the same, if artificial intelligence could paint pictures, sing, or make films? Things we once thought were human privileges might not be so, and we'll likely be forced to redefine what it means to be human. Cooking food with a knife is probably the same in every country, but injuring someone with a knife is a terrible crime. In that case, the knife itself is not evil. You would think that the problem lies with people who misuse knives, right? The same could be said for artificial intelligence. In the end, tools are tools, and the problem lies with people who misuse them. It is important to put in place laws to prevent tools from being misused. But I think the most important thing is that individual ethics have not kept up at all with the progress of the times and the development of technology.
